1. Introduction
Welcome to LiiT Care Connect ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the LiiT Care Connect platform, website, and services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Definitions
- "Platform" refers to the LiiT Care Connect website and services
- "Service Provider" refers to caregivers, babysitters, and childcare professionals
- "User" refers to parents and guardians seeking childcare services
- "Booking" refers to any childcare service arrangement made through our platform
3. Service Provider Verification
3.1. While we partner with CanPro Technologies for service provider verification, we act solely as a platform connecting users with service providers. We make no warranties or representations regarding the accuracy or completeness of verification results.
3.2. Users acknowledge that while we facilitate verification through CanPro, LiiT Care Connect is not liable for:
- The accuracy of verification results
- The conduct of service providers
- Any incidents or damages arising from service provider interactions
4. Booking and Cancellation
4.1. Booking Conditions:
- All bookings are subject to service provider availability and acceptance
- Users must provide accurate information for all bookings
- Services are priced as set by service providers, plus our processing fee and applicable GST
4.2. Cancellation Policy:
- Users may receive a full refund if cancelling within 24 hours of booking
- Cancellations made more than 7 days before the service date incur a 20% fee
- No refunds for cancellations made less than 7 days before the service date
- Service providers cancelling within 12 hours of the booking time may face penalties
5. Payments and Fees
5.1. Service Pricing:
- Service providers set their own rates
- LiiT Care Connect adds processing fee 5% for Caregivers and 9% for Parents
- All payments are processed in Canadian Dollars
5.2. Payment Terms:
- Payment is required at the time of booking
- Funds are held until service completion
- Service providers receive payment within 3-5 business days after service completion
6. User Responsibilities
6.1. Parents/Guardians must:
- Provide accurate information about children and care requirements
- Ensure a safe environment for service delivery
- Be available for emergency contact during service provision
6.2. Service Providers must:
- Maintain accurate availability information
- Provide services as described
- Maintain required qualifications and certifications
- Not cancel bookings within 12 hours of start time except in emergencies
7. Liability and Insurance
7.1. LiiT Care Connect:
- Provides the platform as-is
- Does not guarantee service provider availability or quality
- Is not liable for incidents during service provision
7.2. Service Providers:
- Are independent contractors
- Must maintain appropriate insurance coverage
- Are responsible for their own actions and service delivery
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Alberta, Canada. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta.
9. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes, and continued use constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
